Sony Corporation’s widget and app service FLO:Q (pronounced, apparently, [flōk]) saw a new calendar join its ranks of computer and smartphone apps, the Kisekae Calendar, in collaboration with Boxyz Inc.
Themes, or ‘skins’, for the calendar can be selected and downloaded from a list maintained by FLO:Q, and will be provided for by designers and content creators. So far, the largest category is movie tie-in themes, including Robin Hood and the latest Harry Potter film; and a news ticker also displays information and promotions relevant to the selected skin. FLO:Q plan to offer paid themes as well, starting at the end of this (calendar) year.
Widgets and apps are available for Windows, Mac OS X, Android, and iOS.
